Black Myth: Wukong was inspired by real historic sites across China. Of the game’s 36 known locations, 27 are in Shanxi Province. The others are located in Shaanxi, Chongqing, Sichuan, Zhejiang, Shandong, Anhui, and Fujian. These sites include ancient temples, Buddhist caves, pagodas, traditional pavilions, and stone carvings—many of which are important parts of China’s cultural heritage.
